teh book of Genesis

My entire life I have been around the bible and and religious people, so the Book of Genesis was nothing new to me. I've heard the story several times and the writing style was quite familiar. It is nothing elegant or complex, it is there to inform people of God and nothing else. The bible isn't a very illustrious book, and it was never meant to be, as God does not care for Earthly things. We are to be humble, and if our most sacred religious document was written in complex style, it would be quite hypocritical. Also, the church wants everyone to know of God, and back in the day when not many people could read very well, the Church still wanted people to be able to read the bible. The bible is there just to be there, not to impress with fine writing, and even though I am not quite convinced of whether or not it is true, I still believe that the bible and the book of Genesis are very important documents.
