Inherit the Wind was a great historical fiction because it had life, emotion, and fire. I thought it was a quick text that really put you right there on trial with all of Hillsboro. This book makes you question so many things, whether you are a believer in creation or evolution. I thought the ending was very sudden... and its not how I would have come about it. I wish Cates had actually won the case, just to show all of Hillsboro that it is okay to be able to think outside of the box and not follow everyone else. I think Matthew Brady got what was coming for him when he died. Drummonds speeches all throughout the trial were very powerful and his argument was so strong. I like that through all the fame that was given to Brady, Drummond made him crack and put him back in his place. Even though Drummond was said to play the devil's advocate, he really came out as the hero in the end. Even Rachel got her happy ending and an escape from her father as her and Cates decide to run away and start over. This book was a great way to learn about one of the greatest court cases in history, its argument should never be forgotten.

I agree with all of the points you made. Especially the fact that Brady got what was coming for him. It was also very well written.

I liked when you said that the book made you question things about creation and evolution, because I think the same thing. When Drummond was talking about how the first day could have been many years because there was no sunlight, thats when I really started to think that he had very good points about how the bible could be false and people shouldn't be so brain washed to believe everything that they read out of the bible.
